How is it okay that I'm forced to put my social on certain paperwork only for my leadership or s1 to lose it?

I was under the impression that we were moving towards the DOD # of your CAC or ID card. But yes, if its required, then it's required...however, all I would put is my last four. Nothing changes in the Remington Raider world. Should be required to use 100% electronic forms, nothing PII should be required. Semper Fi

You are absolutely correct MGySgt James Forward. Everything should be electronic, yet just today I filled out paperwork that was provided hard-copy for BAH re-certification. I was away from my desk, otherwise it would have been done on the computer. They just caught me in the company area and I filled it out. There is nothing more frustrating than having the S1/PAC lose paperwork; it is THEIR job!

MGySgt James Forward, some units are good about putting paperwork on digital with the "gears" system. The unit I left a couple of months ago was just transitioning to it. The unit I am in now there is nothing that is digital at all at the battalion level atleast. When I turned in my paperwork to s1 about BAH, physical, they hand carried it to brigade. (Still haven't received my marriage cert back either from them, but it was only the one they give you the day you get married not the real one thank god).

Holy crap, at least in the Corps we have consolidated admin where everything is done, the S-1 handles other Command level stuff. Only issue I have with is that tracking expert quals on the rifle and pistol don't work well at all. I had to look at OMPF to verify what number I needed. Special orders my pistol badge for 22.
