I'm taking an MSF course provided on base (Ft Hood, TX). What do I need to study and what documents will I need to bring for when I go to the DMV afterwards?

Your MSF instructors should provide that information in the class. If not ask them, because they are in the State your in and should know the States requirements.

You also need to ask your instructor if the MSF course that you are taking on-post is honored at the local DMV. For example North Carolina DMV will not honor the FT BRAGG MSF and you are required to do a road test but if you “pay” the MSF course at the technical college you don’t need the road test.

Bring your DD214 or Military ID if you want your licence to say "Veteran" on it.
