I know that a lot of my friends are disappointed with President Trump. They are surprised to learn that he's not a great politician. In fact, he has yet to master any aspect of politics. However, I still console myself with one absolute that no one can deny or assail: He ain't Hillary. Given the choice of a neophyte or a criminal, I'll still take the neophyte each and every time. No matter how bad you think it is now, I am certain that it would have been far worse had she won.

“Criminal” may possibly go in both directions. This is a sad time for America. There are a lot of things I hoped Trump would accomplish and, to date, he has addressed virtually none of them. And, unlike his predecessor, he has almost unilateral support in Congress and the Supreme Court.

I think he's creating the appearance of chaos to keep the Dems and the media on their heels.

Sort of like President Obama hiding his personal papers (including his birth certificate) just to keep the GOP riled up?

My grandpa, God rest his soul, cussed and spit tobacco long before I was born. All I could do was go to the store to buy him another plug... and hope he gave me enough extra money to buy some candy. This, SrA Mike VanDeMark, is our situation until 2020 (unless he gets ousted… for which we would have to see how Mike Pence would fit behind the Resolute).

Actually I think Pence would do very well. Trump needs to learn to behave himself and just stick to the issues. Work on the economy. Hat is why he was elected.
