Good share, LTC Jason Mackay ... this makes sense from a monetary perspective. It will save on PCS movement/transportation expenses certainly... I just wish I could've spent 36 months in Germany, instead of 24 months my first tour!

I know this has nothing to do with service policy, but the longer you are there, the more confident you become traveling and you get more adventurous and see more of Europe. I wish I had 12 months more after a three year assignment to go see stuff.

What single Soldier wouldn’t want to stay in Europe or Japan longer??? This seems like a win for them.
