When your children began experiencing their "coming of age" issues, demands, and personalities, how did you deal with those dynamics?

"Footloose", the 1983 movie is a coming of age movie. The burning issues that caused parents and teenagers to collide were: drinking, driving, death, dancing, sex, and sin. I was in the Med when I saw this movie. The audio was Italian or French with English subtitles.

My kids are coming of age now and I'm still at a loss for how I'll deal with them. LOL

LTC Trent Klug I did not see this response coming. I snickered. I can certainly say this movie is spot on. There is a 2000s version but I like this version because my generation are the actors. I know you like the movie.

Our children waited to "come of age" in their 40's and threw us away. We congratulated them and left the state, and are now living life as a couple. It's wonderful. We love them and wish them well, but feel like slaves who have lost our chains...
