Why didn't POTUS's travel ban pass judicial scrutiny?

Capt Gregory Pickett you still have it wrong there decision was not based on the law or the Constitution. It was based on hearsay and campaign rhetoric which should have not been allowed in court. Every President since Washington has had the right to shut down immigration from certain countries. I since Carter every President has done it.

Cpl Vic Eizenga - Actually the government did not put forward any evidence to rebut the States's allegations, other than you can't review Presidential actions. That's almost alway a non-winning argument.

Capt Gregory Prickett - I listened to the call all that was discussed was not the law at all just the restraining order and what was said on the campaign trail. Because the judges were making a political statement again not even talking about the law at all.

Cpl Vic Eizenga - they talked about all parts of the issue in the oral arguments, but Ninth Circuit did not rule on the religious discrimination issue when it denied the stay.
