What advice do you have for someone who has been flagged for job underperformance and is now being assigned to a BMM position?

I'm an Infantryman E5, but I've been flagged for about six months due to job underperformance. I ETS in May 2021, and I've been assigned to a BMM position. So what should I do in this situation in my career? I have a feeling that my CoC sent me to BMM so they don't have to deal with me.

If you've been flagged for six months for under performance then there is a good chance the Army is not for you. That leaves you a year to work on your transition plan. Your command absolutely has to provide bodies to fill those BMM requirements they get tasked with. As a leader, it makes the most sense to send the Soldiers who are separating so as not to slow down the Career progression of the other Soldiers who will get retained. Of course, the BMM requirements are usually enough that lots of quality Soldiers who the command wants to retain also get put on BMM taskings as well. It's just part of the Army. You're not important enough that your CoC sought out a BMM tasking just for you. You're just another body that got fed into the BMM meat grinder to satisfy the post requirements

Ok, I may look like an idiot on this one, but I'm going to ask anyway. What does "BMM" stand for?

SSG Laurie Mullen it's Borrowed Manpower.
It's the details that come from post for things like running the gate guards and reception center Cadre, to the people who are standing in front of the commissary right now turning away anyone without a mask or even driving the post bus.
