Why would you not allow this? We are talking about people that have sacrificed some of the best years of their lives, give the damned benefit to them for God's sakes!

Unfortunately CSM the DOD only gives the commissary and Exchange privilege to those who served 25+ years and veterans with 100% disabilities with DD form 2 to shop, as you might have already knew Commissary makes their own laws.

SPC Nick Lai - Actually it's all Retired members. 20 years, 2 days have full commissary and exchange.

Absolutely... There are those that say no and this that want to limit to seriously impaired and their caretaker..(like in wheelchairs.. walkers.. 75,80 % or higher..
Disabled.. It would be hard to get around.. When in Service, I volunteered to help my severely disabled Comrades get around and shop I kinda distrusted some of those caretakers.. thinking they’d load the cart with their own selections.. some are not bad.. and may contribute their own funds.. Some others.. nah, don’t think so!
I was already a service member and eligible on my own merit.. I and some that were in NCO wive’s club and Officer Wive’s club would assist those seriously physical disabled.. I did it about 3 Times a month on 3 of my days off.. it be an almost all day sit-rep.. I enjoyed it more if it was maybe raining some. Or even overcast.. . no sense wasting a good day off..

I would like to see this expanded to all DOD civilian employees and all honorably discharged combat vets. More customers equal more money going back into the military communities.

I don't see why DECA wouldn't want the business SGT David Thomas.

DECA does its the law that prevents it. That is the key difference between a Federal organization and a private sector one. Walmart can do whatever it wants as long as it's not illegal, a Federal organization cannot do anything unless there is a law saying it can.
