Due to conflicting shifts on this deployment I'm having problems getting in contact with my Retention NCO, so I haven't been able to ask her this question.

I was wondering if it is possible to stabilize more than once for a duty station. I reenlisted in March 2013 for Stabilization. I am currently on deployment now and I would like to stay at my regular duty station when I reenlist again before the end of it because I love it there.

Also, I was told interpost transfers were no longer allowed, can anyone give me clarification on this?

I would recommend checking with either your BDE or Division Retention if you are unable to get in touch with your BN one, as they can also assist you on this.

I have been out of the retention game for almost a decade, so I know there have been many changes as a result of multiple wars and the current RIF being conducted, but at one point you could do more than one depending on circumstances and the code entered into the system, and the use of inter-post transfers were what filled many holes in units deploying, but again with down-sizing and RIF coming into play it may be a thing of the past, but the NCOs I mentioned above can definitively answer those pertinent questions for you.

Good luck.
