interesting article...
I hope they pin sown the reality of who is Pushing the real efforts... as an Interviewer pointed out this weekend , many of The original Climate Change Guru's, are now backing off, as they are seeing that things are not as bad as they predicted ....
remember the Loss of Polar ice by 2005 and it's still there, and Antarctica has the largest Ice shelf in over 100 years... and the Polar bears have almost tripled in numbers instead of being extinct...

SSG (Join to see) - I have noticed that "facts" are determined by the policies of the administration in charge. There is no doubt that many scientists believe in Global Warming, but many others don't. I don't think Trump will completely scrap the Climate Control agreement, but he will demand serious changes. As it stands now, the United States is responsible for paying over 40% of the entire cost. This is to cover many countries who can not afford to pay. The issue we face as a Nation is we pay the bulk of every allegiance we are in whether it is the U.N., NATO, etc. This takes money that could be used for our homeless and deprived.
Liberals tend to have their own set of facts (i.e.-ISIS has committed 10s of thousands of murders, many while saying "Allahu Akbar", but saying it has nothing to do with Islam).

MSG (Join to see) - Facts usually consist of data which can be interpreted in more than one way. At some point however, a consensus is reached among subject matter experts in the field and it is reasonable to treat that scientific consensus as fact.

With regard to climate change the subject matter experts are called Climate Scientists, not rocket scientists, not engineers, not program analysts.

"As it stands now, the United States is responsible for paying over 40% of the entire cost." I don't think it's unreasonable for the nation responsible for pumping most of the carbon into the atmosphere to date, to cover a larger percentage of the costs than most. The countries that can not afford to pay, as a general rule, are not responsible for the most of the carbon already in the atmosphere... nor did they reap the economic benefit of cheap energy.

ISIS has as much to do with Islam as the KKK has to do with Christianity. They both use religion to justify their particular brand of evil, meanwhile the vast majority of Christians and Muslims despise what the KKK and Daesh represent. It's simply a matter of considering facts in context.

SSG (Join to see) - You do understand that there are quite a few climate scientists who are subject matter experts who have refuted this and state this is not a fact, that is why the discussion is on going. At this time, the USA is not "pumping" the most pollution in the air, China is by more than double. Other high polluters are Mexico, Indonesia, India, UAE, and many more small countries who are becoming more industrial. The question then becomes, how do you reduce other countries emissions who are determined to grow? Do you give them money and tell them not to industrialize or do you pay for them to have better equipment? Either way, we can't afford it.
The United States now has a debt deficit of over 20 Trillion dollars thanks to Obama who ran up overy 10 trillions dollars by himself in less than 8 years. This is more total debt than the 4 presidents before him combined.

I find it curious that you use the KKK as an example since it has never been associated with christianity. It was founded by the Democrat party after the civil war and remained fairly active until the democrats changed their base in the 1960s. While the KKK is still in existence, the last major crime reported by the KKK was around the 1980s.
If you want to talk about hate groups, the Black Panthers were killing whites and committing hate crimes in the 1960s and 1970s. They are active as well.

I know those darn pesty facts are irritating, but try to stay on topic and relevant

yes, this. I can't believe some people think that a single country's administration gets to decide science

The 'Dump' wants the people gone that can tell what affect something he wants to do is going to have on people(like birth defects, cancers, etc), the environment, water supplies, wildlife, food supplies, etc. All things he's had problems with in his business dealings. Watch ' You've Been Trumped'. He wants free rein to destroy anything he wants with no repercussions.

Climate change continues to accelerate and instead of responding to the crisis in time to begin mitigating the damage, we choose to elect climate change deniers.

SGT (Join to see) - The science may not be as real as the political power of the fossil fuel industry, at least not within the US.
