After a discussion on another post a few days ago. Just order a new .17 cal. rifle from Savage.
Had one a few years ago and gave it to a friend, thought i would give it another try squirrel hunting.

1SG Steven Imerman I fired the old one many times and it was quite accurate, more so than the .22 Ruger i had used for years. My problem with it hunting was it decimated the small game(squirrels) and i don't like waste. From some information in another post discussion,i was probable using the wrong ammunition,so going to try it with different ammo. This time even if it still proves to be devastating to squirrels i think i will try other game.

CW5 Jack Cardwell Yes,i know that was the problem before and i even tried the hollow-points with almost the same effect. The FMJ 20 grain seems to be the round i need to use,is that correct?
