It's now official. USA Freedom Act is now signed into law. It effectively replaces the Patriot Act that most of us are familiar with. But how familiar are you with these two bills? Most Americans are completely unaware what this bill even does.

If you're unaware of what the bill contains, check this link:https://www.congress.gov/bill/113th-congress/house-bill/3361

Considering that most Americans are not even aware of what these two bills are or what they do, is Congress and policymakers too secretive for these types of policies to continue? Or is this a necessary sacrifice of some privacy for the sake of security?

Once again Congress gives a bill a name that is misleading. The "Freedom Act" takes away freedom.

I don't know....I expect our leaders to read it, which of course they didn't....Just because they pass a bill into law, doesn't mean I have to recognize it as a legal law to me....I have natural rights and can do what I want

SSG Leonard Johnson - Staff; Indeed you do, and the government has the power to punish you for doing it.

UNTIL a piece of legislation is declared invalid by a body with the legal authority to do so it IS "legal legislation" and enforcement of it is 100% "legal".

sorry sir, I don't believe that at all. I do follow the laws to the best of my ability. But the old saying you should have known the law is out the door. There so many laws in the Book now you and me would be buried underneath the cell.
just think about Nazi Germany and the laws they pass. so no, I'm free man under natural rights given to us by God
