I have an article 15 for an assault back 6 years ago and a gomor for a DWI 4 years ago. Art 15 was filed in my restricted. Gomor in my performance. Both happened as a sgt and I'm a ssg now.

What can I do to mitigate this in terms of moving it or having it removed?

Appreciate any advice.

Well, what I can tell you is there is no SSG Evaluation Board (formerly known as the SFC Board) in FY20. This is due to the new National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) which changed how soon centralized board selectees are promoted (1 year now vice 2 years as previous NDAAs). They can see your restricted file and if your infractions happened while you were a SSG then you will have a tough hill to climb for recovery of those actions.

The board won't see your restricted file, but they are required to view any referred reports and reprimands. The referred reports are the ones with a "-R" added to the form number in your OMPF.
You can request to have the reprimand moved into your restricted file since it's been over a year. The information is on the HRC website

SSG I would strongly encourage you to look at the criteria for QMP/QSP- verify the difference (obviously) and look at the trends in that report. The boards have been moved to the right as they begin integrating the changes for evals and STEP.

I wasn’t finished, my apologies.
I would also look to see about moving such criteria across your records (to become restricted) because there is a time constraint on certain actions and certain appeals that must be applied for. Also- do any of the aforementioned incidents reflect on your NCOER(s)?
