Do you conduct yourself differently on RallyPoint as opposed to places like Facebook?

That sounds like a pretty good way to address things. Now do you think we as participants in this crazy RP world of ours are careful enough about what we are putting out there for all to see? Are you comfortable enough with the job being done in vetting the folks who have accounts and can see all that is said?

SFC Perry, you actually brought up a great point. I didn't think too much about answering some of the questions such as my clearance level or marital status. I think I could have been a little more careful when answering such things only to protect myself but I am also pretty comfortable with the vetting process so far with RP.

I had some reservations about a number of the things that were to be filled in. That is why it took me so darn long to complete it. The clearance one REALLY bothered me. I feel the folks that actually need to know that already do.

As an OPSEC officer, I guarantee I get on more than a few people's nerves with my corrections.

They'll thank you in the long run... I'm inclined to think a few Soldiers caught up in scandals recently WISHED they had someone like you paying attention.

Politics quickly turn into a very heated topic in my family and I really am the black sheep. Therefore, I try very hard to stay out of theses conversations. I am a blunt person by nature so I am always afraid I might really offend someone.

I'm the same way. Politics has been a hobby/interest of mine for many years. I don't get "angry" while talking politics like some people, but you better believe I'm going to bring data. I have an entire folder of bookmarked political/economic data to back up my positions. People do not like arguing with someone who, A) disagrees with them and, B) has data to back up that opinion.

I enjoy discussing economics/politics with somebody who is willing to discuss the data/facts. But I won't entertain an argument with someone who just sits there and spouts off talking points - which happens a lot on both sides these days.

You did not tell me you had met my mother. You just described her to a tee. I cannot have a real conversation with her. It is either 100% opinion based with her. Or she might really arm herself with some data gleaned directly from her hero Rachel Anne Maddow. She seems to lack the ability to do any research for herself. The most dangerous kind of American voter!
