Well, I finally saw Rogue One and it was just as disappointing as I imagined. Every episode of the Star Wars franchise was worse than the previous one (in the order released, not in the order listed). Rogue One was a story poorly told. My wife and I were lost most of the time with the flashbacks and backstory. The worst part was the post mortem appearance of Carrie Fisher. They claim they used CGI, but I believe they used her actual body. It really looked like my Aunt Helen as she appeared in her coffin.

I am not or have ever been a Star Wars aficionado. I grew up an Star Trek and have remained a Star Trek Fan ever since I saw my first episode on TV

SSgt Ryan Sylvester - Stars Wars has always been a bunch of glitz and glamor. It rarely rises to the drama of Deep Space 9 or the character studies in TNG or the Ordinary Series. I saw the latest Rogue One and was singularly unimpressed

I thought the "2nd half" of the movie was pretty good. Was pretty disappointed with the first. Also, The Force Awakens is DEFINITELY better than the prequels.
