Looking to find out what day to day life is like for 68W in the 62nd Med Brigade/47th Combat Support hospital. Do you actually do medical stuff?

If you are going to a CSH, you are mostly going to be doing PT, maintenance on equipment, field exercises, larger training exercises and deployments. As a 68W you will still do your TC3 and EMT continuing education, with other opportunities available. Your experience in a CSH will be vastly different from your AIT buddies going to Infantry, Cavalry, Artillery, etc. units. As a 68W you are expected to to be able to float like a butterfly between the Line (Hooah Army) MEDDAC (Clinics and Hospitals) and Medical MTOE units (Combat Support Hospitals, Area Support Medical Companies). As you are close to Madigan there MAY be opportunity for you to do rotations at the Hospital. Take college course, if there is opportunity take AEMT or other certifications, take them and do well.

If CBT ARMS; Motor pool after sick call, maybe,, if you're lucky, depending on the MEDAC, you may get to maintain your units Medical records, work with your BN. Surg. at the TMC, Other than that, only your unit knows. MEDAC However is a different ball of wax, Working 9 to 5 just to make a living
