I have a very severe case of insomnia. But instead of letting it beat me. I use it to my advantage. I currently drive for LYFT when I cant sleep, you choose when you drive and when to stop. Its a great stress reliever for me at least. By the end of the night I'm tired and I'm out as soon as I get in bed. And oh yeah, I make money! In 24 hours (same amount of time we use to be on staff duty) I made $340.00 . You cant beat that. That income I net goes into whatever I want to use it. Why let something so petty beat you down? I'm not. Plus I get to meet cool people and other veterans who hold corporate jobs. And I also promote to them joining Rally Point. You'd be surprise how many aren't aware of this awesome online community.
What are you doing to beat it or take advantage of it?

SPC Eddie "Nemo" Aiumu Are you still in Orlando? Lyft & Uber left Austin because the city started to require all divers to obtain fingerprints as part of the background screening conducted by Lyft & Uber. SEcondly, I imagine depending on how many miles you drive in your example you had to fill up yr tank? Also, I found out the hard way that a person has to pay income tax and SS tax on extra money earned like that. It was added on top of my normal income and taxed at the highest rate so I ended up netting not too much. Luckily I am still able to sleep pretty well so don't have to worry about that..

I take advantage of my insomnia by using the extra time I'm not sleeping to put extra effort into my school work. My insomnia is a huge reason why I have been maintaining a 4.0 GPA.
