What's the one thing you wish you would have known prior to retirement?

I'm finally dropping my paperwork after 22 years! I'd like to get your opinion on what would have made it a better or smoother transition.

I sure hope to get some good answers from this one as I am nearing retirement myself.

Have another job lined up. It is harder to retire to nothing. There are several groups that help vets transition to civilian life. Your VA Regional office will have info that will help.
