I spent most of my career going back and forth to Korea and US bases. It was a good life. I should have stayed in the military and hoped I wouldn't get booted for the draw down. If I would have then I would have been able to retire. The push was to get us all out of the military to save tax dollars. Now I am caught begging for jobs even at 71 years old. I can build an electronic warfare pod in my sleep, and I am still hunting for a real job. I am an IT Developer in SharePoint and being pushed out over and over due to India taking our jobs. I'm a survivor and a biker so I'll always have something to fall back on. I so loved my job in the military. I worked hard. I wanted to become an officer but didn't have any friends who were in my supervisory chain. It was always about clicks and I just wasn't in one. Even Lt Col know how that is, probably more than me.
