I agree. People need to analyze issues and make decisions on their own, then vote appropriately. Nothing is to be gained from mass protests and riots but further divisiveness and destruction. Unfortunately, analysis takes effort, education (not training), and time. It's so much easier to watch the cute folks on TV say and repeat it.

It was easier in the day when the news just gave us the who, what, when, and where. They now massage it for hours on end to force the why on us. It works with some, but I think (hope) that many are getting wise to the game and not taking every spoken word as factual.

I think Politicians have learned the key to voters. Promise them free money out of the pockets from the opposing Political faction. There is no thinking required only convincing them that their wealth was obtained illegally or immorally.

But we no longer have a true education system in the US, it is a training system, or indoctrination programs and not education programs. That is why we have either non-voters or what too many people call low information voters. And with today's training programs most younger people conveniently use information overload as an excuse (and we have seen it right here on RP) to read only the title/headline, which for the most part does not even come close to the information that is in the article. And they are usually too lazy to even bother reading the article or past the first sentence if they even look at it. We see the phenomena here on RP all the time.

From what I've noted and debated on RP, most do that. The issue is we are like the two blind men describing an elephant from opposite ends.

I can't put a number on "most", but it does seem to be an upward trend that many at least are starting to question what we are fed daily.

special interests keep us divided on purpose.
when we finally stop corporations, unions, and mega-rich people from buying our political leaders, we'll start getting somewhere. (full disclosure i didn't go to the article since its rush/breitbart)
