I went there in 2013 for my basic training and I live only a few hours away. Hot, sunny with occasional severe thunderstorms. Right now is tornado season as well, so as I said, expect the severe thunderstorms. Besides that it's just going to be around 90 or greater most days.

He'll be there in July for training BCT and AIT.

Its always dependent upon the weather. Besides, it shouldn't matter. Its basic training, you should build up the fear and tell him he'll be in 100 degree weather and ruck 10 miles a day.
