Before dating apps, nights at the bar or club for casual hookups were more a game played in person. We see the way a person looks, there is an exchange of words and two people use each other for pleasure. This is quite common in military culture in cases when we’ve been in the field and have not seen a woman for weeks on end or been underway on a ship for months and have been around no one but other men.
To the spiritually unaware person, this would seem like no big deal or just good fun, but when we look deeper into what is going on, this kind of ideology can be very spiritually toxic and lead us down a very dark path......

Interesting read. I counsel against casual "encounters" for many of the same reasons although not from an "energy" but an emotional and spiritual standpoint...

spirit and emotion are forms of energies within or generated by the body/mind consciouness so its basically the same ideological pizza but in a language different box....

I talk to people about "emotional bank accounts" some people and relationships make withdrawals, others deposits... if you allow your positive energy to be overdrawn, you can't help anyone including yourself.

True! as veterans, I noticed that we sometimes fall into a "doormat" complex where we want to serve and be a part of something positive or do something positive that gives us a sense of purpose so bad that we sometimes lower our personal worth and get taken advantage of by toxic people who can sense this and exploit it for their benefit, causing us to overdraft our positive energy and become withdrawl, judgemental and exhasued with the world...
