Is there any 88ms in a combat aviation brigade similar to that of a typical brigade combat team? Better life style? Higher op-tempo? Just curious

88ms are in the Aviation Support Battalion. A lot of TMRs for stuff. I wouldn’t say the life is any better, still driving and doing the job. It’s just on a different level.

Early on in Iraq, it was more dangerous to be a 88M than 11B.

Combat aviation brigades have a high optempo due to every conflict the US is in requires aviation assets

There are indeed 88Ms in CABs. They pretty much stay in the Motorpool, unless assigned other (crappy) duties. They will deploy with the unit, and maintain/drive wheeled vehicles either brought with the unit or the unit falls-in on.
