Hello everyone,
I looking into leaving Active Duty Army Enlisted and going Navy OCS. I know there is a references, 635-200, that covers being discharged for acceptance into another branches OCS. I also met someone else who did this, army enlisted to navy ocs that I met on reddit. I imagine everyone's experience that has done this is different from one another. I would like to meet others that have done this, going into OCS from enlisted in another branch. HAs any one on rally point done a interservice transfer? I would like to ask about your process and experience doing it?

How much time is left on your contract. All in all that might be an easier card to play. Simply get "out", and then approach the USN without any Army involvement.

You'll have to get a conditional release signed by your General. Usually we tell people that Conditional Releases don't apply for active duty, because they're asking about enlisted Interservice Transfers which aren't really a thing. But for commissioning programs they are a requirement because you are discharged from your enlistment to accept a commission.

That will he the first step. After that you have to apply to NOCS and get accepted. If you get accepted expect a last minute dash on everything

Just curious, how’s your MOS strength? That might, just might, play a bit in a potential release.
