Turkey threatens retaliation if new bill stops F-35 sale

So Turkey decides to buy S-400 from Russia against our stern warning that doing so might jeopardize their participation in the F-35 program. When we actually follow through on our threat by creating legislation calling for a review to determine whether they should receive F-35, they act shocked and threatened.

One can draw two conclusions from this, either Turkey is that arrogant (or stupid) to think we would sell them F-35 after they have been cozying up to Putin and China and then procuring equipment that would provide sensitive SIGINT to our adversaries regarding our most advanced aircraft system, or this is part of a calculated move by Erdogan to continue his crusade of intentionally distancing his country from NATO and the West.

I'm going to assess the later. Turkey continues its descent toward an Islamic inspired tyranny with Erdogan at the top.
