I’m working on getting my sec+ cert and will be taking the test soon. I’ve read the MILPER Message 19-012 on the Armyreenlistment website, and unfortunately it says that it expired on 01 Jan 2020. Any one knows if they are taking SSG? And what certification do I need to acquire?
Note: I don’t have a professional IT experience except what I have picked up from self study and research.
I have 7 yrs in service and my current mos is balanced for my tank.

17C doesn't take SSGs, although you can go to their website and apply, asking for a grade waiver. When it comes to application MOS's it's always up to the person approving the packet. With your qualifications you may want to try 25D which only accepts E6 with over six years AFS
