Didn't see anything really posted about the Victory in Europe (VE) Day, May 8th. (In the US & UK its celebrated on Aug 21st) The Germans finally gave up their arms during WWII in Europe on May the 8th, 1945. In Russia, it's Celebrated on the 9th of May, since Germany troops in Siberia, didn't surrender until that day. There are celebrations throughout the world, particularly in Eastern Europe to mark the Victory over the Nazis during WWII. Over 14 Million Allied Troops died during WWII. And the upcoming, 75th Anniversary of the Allied Invasion of Normandy is this summer on June 6, 2019.
