Army leaders cut mandatory training and other 'burdensome' requirements

Much of the classroom stuff has been an excuse for a nap

I was at a training event down Ft Polk way, and the CG decided to make a stroll through the field to talk with soldiers from full bird Colonels all the way down to mosquito wings privates. The CG asked a rather salty and respected E-6 what he would change. He responded that he would get rid of much of the useless. "check the box" training that took away from important training objectives.

Without missing a beat, the CG responded that they need "to develop training programs, power points, and surveys to find out which programs were useless." Idiotic bureaucracy will be replaced by more bureaucracy.
