Long story short I did an IST and the counselor who helped me reached out to see how it was going and I told him I was trying to go active duty and my unit didn't want to push up a 368 because I ETS in August. He asked for my state and unit and come to find out I belive he has ties to NGB and with that said I'm pretty sure I shook a big tree and am wanting to know what repercussions I could face? Thanks in advance.

Your unit doesn't get a choice in submitting your 368, the unit does not get to approve or deny it, they submit through BN, BDE to your state G1.
State G1 approves or denies, then you contract to active duty, submit the contract and orders to G1, and they discharge you from ARNG.
You would ETS about 2-3 months before that process could complete, so it would be a waste of paperwork for the 7-9 people involved, including you.
Contact a recruiter about 30 days out from your ETS to start the paperwork, and go back the day after your ETS.

During my military I did the same thing, NG to active duty, my NG unit fully supported me.

It's your choice to switch components. You can however have some bonus payments recouped depending on payments received and time you have served. If that applies to you, make an appointment with the states incentive manager to get the real scoop, so you know what to expect.
