I’m currently serving in the North Carolina Army Guard and I can’t find any info on who to contact about entering in the governors 20 competition. Also if anyone has some advice I’d love to hear it. Thank you!

The state usually advertises it. Your readiness NCO should be able to tell you or you could contact Camp Butner.

In most states, the Governor's Twenty can only be earned by competing in the NG State matches for snipers, riflemen, pistol, and machine gun. Eight riflemen and eight pistol shooters earn the badge, along with the top two snipers and top two MG gunners (20, total). Be aware that each state can have different criteria and some states don't have the tab.
In Texas, the matches follow the same course of fire that is used at the Winston P Wilson National Matches, and where you can earn the Chief's 50 Badge in addition to EIC points.
Each state should also have a marksmanship director or coordinator that can provide info.
