I ETS'd from the NG in January 2017. At the time of my ETS I had been in the unit only 6 months. When I arrived there I was never assigned to anyone due to my upcoming ets. A NCOER was never completed for this time frame. I have renelisted to active duty and have looked into OCS which requires the last 3 NCOERs and WOCS which requires the last 10 years. Will this missing NCOER cause a problem with applying for either? I have no other gaps during my NCO time.

NCOERs are part of the requirements for the OCS packet. With that being said, I doubt it will make a significant difference regarding your selection. Considering some that apply for OCS are Specialists with no NCOER I don’t see it causing an issue. There are a number of factors that they look at. Not just counselings/NCOERs.

When I was in recruiting, I recall a similar situation. If my memory don't fail me, the applicant wrote a memorandum for record stating that the COC did not complete the NCOER due to ETS. Once you put your packet together, the recruiter will let you know what you need and how to guide you in the process. For as long as you don't have any derogatory information, you will be fine.

It’s asking for your last three NCOERs if you have three or more NCOERs. If it doesn’t exist, you just submit what you have.
