Can the 24 months TOS requirement for getting a school date for recruiting school be waived? If so, what do I need to do to get the waiver?

I am tracking the minimum time it takes to get a school date for recruiting school is 24 months TOS. I was told by a member of the recruiting team there's a way to get a waiver for 12 months TOS. Is this true? And if so what do I need to do to get the waiver?

Yes, training can be waived down to one year.
The way to get it waived is that Recruiting branch waives it because they need you. If they didn’t put you on assignment within 12 months TOS then they don’t need you enough to warrant asking their bosses for a waiver.
If your branch doesn’t DA select you at 12 months TOS then they don’t need you enough to run a waiver that far up for approval
