Does moving Reserve units in the Army cost you your enlistment bonus?

im Entertaining the idea of moving states from my unit in Utah, down south, either to a unit in Texas, or Florida. The biggest issue I see is the at my DS from AIT told us that we would lose our enlistment bonus if we tried, is this true, or was he just blowing smoke?

So you have to look to see what exactly is your bonus for. If it is for a specific MOS and being MOSQ then it would be absolutely no problem to move to another reserve unit as long as you are still serving in that MOS. Your best bet is to look at your contract then if you don't understand talk to your retention NCO they are the SME on that stuff and they can give you the yes or no on keeping your bonus.
