Can you serve in the National Guard and Secret Service at the same time?

I recently applied for a Secret Service Agent position and just got an email back today saying "You are among the best qualified applicants and are now eligible to participate in the next phase of the hiring process" which means I have to take the SAEE. If I complete the process and get offered a position, would I have to resign my commission? I'm at a little over 14 years right now and I really want to do at least 20 so I can retire. Hopefully someone has some info. I was searching around on forums for some answers but the only thing I found was an article.

Like anything else, you'll have to work through problems with your supervisors in the Guard and the Service as they arise, but it can be done. Had a friend who successfully balanced being part of the executive detail and the Marine Corps reserve.

Don't know why it would be a issue, sir. If you do have an issue, I would take it with the government agency that handles that matter. Can't remember the name, but they handle issues like that for the Guard and Reserve.
