2001 - The U.S. and Great Britain began airstrikes in Afghanistan in response to that state's support of terrorism and Osama bin Laden. The act was the first military action taken in response to the terrorist attacks on the U.S. on September 11, 2001.

It still amazes me how quickly we really acted in response to 9/11.

14 years ago Air Strikes by the AF & Navy from the USS Enterprise ..I am sure many here will not forget this date and for those who were there.... thank you .......
you did your duty and we all owe you big time..
