American military forces spread baseball all over the world

Armed American forces have fought in 85 out of the 194 countries in the world (excluding the USA itself) or 44 percent of the total. Over the course of this amazing history, filled as it is with heroic liberations and a few tragic blunders, we Americans have had one undeniable achievement — we have exported the game of baseball around much of the world.

Hate to be a chronic curmudgeon, but aren't we cutting actual AD rifle toters? Shouldn't this be cut first? Not sure how baseball is relevant to our National Security.
