If your going to be our POTUS, you better have at least an inkling of and idea about our foreign policy. According to this article, and several others, Ben Carson is lacking in this policy seriously. Ben Carson is lacking in several things in my beliefs. He will not make any better POTUS than Obama or Trump. IMHO, we do need someone with experience outside of our country. The similarity I think, it is like me enlisting, becoming a Private, and then, after six moths basic training, promoted to a General of the Armed Services Committee. It ain't gonna work.

“Nobody has been able to sit down with him and have him get one iota of intelligent information about the Middle East,” said Duane R. Clarridge, adviser to Ben Carson.

By Trip Gabriel NEW YORK TIMES NOVEMBER 18, 2015
Ben Carson’s remarks on foreign policy have repeatedly raised questions about his grasp of the subject, but never more seriously than in the past week, when he wrongly asserted that China had intervened militarily in Syria and then failed, on national television, to name the countries he would call on to form a coalition to fight the Islamic State.

Faced with increasing scrutiny about whether Carson — who leads in some Republican presidential polls — was capable of leading US foreign policy, two of his top advisers said in interviews with The New York Times that he had struggled to master the intricacies of the Middle East and national security and that intense tutoring was having little effect.

The quality of the man is good, but he does indeed struggle regarding foreign policy.
Hopefully he chooses his advisors well.

Dr. Carson is a good and decent man. However the job of president does not want someone who learn on the job. Especially when someone has no experience foreign-policy or military issues. He would be a great vice president or perhaps a great secretary of health and human services. He just is not presidential material at this time.

SSgt Alex Robinson, Dr.Carson is a brilliant man. But like you and I wrote, he is not POTUS Material at this time. Thanks for your comment.

It stumps Obama too. I like Ben Carson but don't think he or Trump will last past the first primary.
