If you are "accidentally" on the No fly list you can ask for redress. You can do this by visiting the DHS redress page.

How would you know if you were accidentally put on this list?

It seems the most common way is you will not be able to print out your tickets and as a result will be forced to go to the ticket counter. They will tell you then. You can apply for TSA precheck or Global Entry to expedite you travels.

Thankfully they don't have a "Can't Fly because he is Funny Looking and His Momma dresses Him Weird" because I would be on that list.

I was on it briefly due to a name confusion. Flew anyways as I was on orders and TSA was dinged to fix it. Took about 2 months to clear.

It was a computer glitch thing as the "no flier" had a different middle initial but it was flagging everyone with the same first/last.
