The government is neither efficient enough, nor trustworthy enough to manage a "list" in General and has proven themselves not efficient nor trustworthy enough to manage the No-Fly List in Specific.

Maj William Gambrell - You have to kidding, right? ;-) The intelligence community is no where near the Electrical Engineer community when it comes to liability for their mistakes. At least when an electrical engineer makes a mistake someone could be electrocuted or property destroyed by fire. Let us compare apples to oranges, shall we?

SSG Robert Webster - I am an electrical engineer. I have seen many intel officers get hammered over bad decisions. But, I do agree there are other agencies that aren't held as accountable.

Maj William Gambrell - No, it doesn't. But it is highly vulnerable to being tampered with for political purposes.

I do not. I believe in the sanctity of the protections enshrined in both the second and the fourth amendments.

The Constitution also does not apply to the aboriginal nations... Just a point of interest that should not be construed as trying to counter the spirit of your excellent statement.

Capt Richard I P. , what about the protections guaranteed in the first, fifth, and tenth amendments? Are their protections not sacred as well?

SSG Gerhard S. I like them all. The second and fourth seem to apply in particular in this case. One of my personal favorites is actually the third.

Capt Mark Strobl Thanks, the feeling is mutual!

I do not support it and I will gladly tell you why. When I returned from my extended TDY to North Korea in 2004, I was on that list. I was an E-5 with a TS clearance and on the no-fly list. I stayed on that list until late '08 or early '09. Every time I went TDY it was an ordeal for me to board a plane. What made it even more painful was whomever my Team Member was would be flagged the rest of the trip.
