My sister and I were born after he served in Vietnam. We both have a lot of medical problems now. I have asthma, hypertension, PTSD, severe depression, PCOS, high cholesterol, insomnia, anxiety, degenerative disc decease in my entire spine, and very close to being diagnosed with diabetes, also I have several cystic lumps in my body. My sister who is younger than me has asthma, diabetes, seizures, hypertension, high cholesterol. Our dad says that some of the things we have is on the list for children of Vietnam veterans but my question is how do we file a claim? I have researched this and it does not give a clear answer on this for filing a claim.

Call the disabled American veterans (DAV). They care. Don't start with VA, their job is to deny care. A few years ago Operation Ranch Hand & Agent Orange vets were granted proper status. But start with the DAV. Good luck

I would reach out to the Vietnam Veterans of America. http://www.vva.org. They likely have the best info on that.

Only after death would you be eligible for any dependent survivor benefits, notice i said dependent such as also meaning dependent of his income to survive such as you being a child in need ,such as a disabled child .

I think that the problems you mentioned are disabilities in themselves! You are disabled by having all those symptoms at once and you deserve to ask questions about them!
