Honestly I don't. I spent more time playing catch up to search where my wife put my belongings at. I did watch some TV but the kids called for my attention for most.

CPT Swartout - man, is this not the truth!! When I came back I was on that reverse schedule, so I wanted to do things starting around 2AM. I could find NOTHING around the house! I would wander the house every night mumbling to myself about how "nobody can put things back where they belong!".

Sir, I just found one of the missing screw drivers my wife misplaced over a year ago. Other things, I reported as a battle lost at the house. I may never see my flashlight I bought years ago because she thinks it was left a friend's house. Like I tell my friends from the famous quote, there is a place for everything and everything in its place.

I know that after watching countless AFN commercials in overseas locales (last place was Kwajalein) watching a regular commercial back in the States cleanses the palate.

Anyone who currently is or was stationed overseas knows about the "famous" AFN (previously AFRTS) commercials that were constantly reminding (Read: bombarding) us to use OPSEC, how to marry a foreign national, the difference between a general and a special Power of Attorney, etc...What was your favorite AFN commercial? What was your worst AFN commercial? Note: They can also be a little bit of both, like this...

When I returned from deployments, there were a few things that I did...almost none of them included TV (unless it was a movie and snuggling with the family which has no commercials). Out to eat for real food, grilling my own food, catching up on family time, and as mentioned by others....wonder the house at all hours of the day and night looking for stuff that was "mis-placed", put away in the wrong location, or was thrown away due to house cleaning while gone (hated that one!). Of course, everyone else in the house knew exactly where "it" was.....so therefore, i must have been wrong... ;-)
