Unless you address the societal, theological, educational and economic factors that create the insurgents in the first place, it's a hydra with constantly regrowing heads...

I feel like we could definitely reduce the threat with cyber warfare/ social campaigning. we can take down those "recruiting" videos & propaganda, while being more open with the success of our own victories. (e.g. vehicles destroyed, confirmed insurgent kills, etc.)

I think it requires some of our bad men with local bad men to hunt them down in their sanctuary or base of power.
