Just got back from Afghanistan and seeing my 1 yr old son. He was a bit confused as to who the stranger was and my wife refused to cut his hair while I was gone.

Hey Major, you're looking mighty thin in that picture.

@SSG Martin - well, I was running 4 miles every morning, then walking another 4-5 miles throughout the day while I was in Afghanistan. Will definitely cause some weight loss! I think I left at 195 lbs and was 180 lbs when I got back. Back up to 187 lbs by the last APFT in April. Lot easier to put it on than take it off.

These are a couple of my favorite pictures. One is of my oldest son and I on a DZ near Pisa Italy right after we jumped with the Italian Army. The other is of my youngest son and I at Green Ramp. I am conducting JMPI on him prior to a jump. I was the PJ and he was my #1 jumper. Take care and best of luck to you.

SIR

ROGER THAT! Thanks, when my sons decided to join the ranks I let them choose their MOS but I told them they WILL be Paratroopers. Fortunately both my sons ended up in 1 BCT 82nd. SIR best to you and continue to wear the Maroon Beret with pride. Feet and knees together SIR and best to you, may your DZs be soft and plenty and your aim always be better than those aiming at you. Take care.
