Now that our military is more socially inclusive, do you believe service members are more resilient than prior generations?

Have all the social changes in our military helped our servicemen handle PTSD (depression) better, increased unit strength, greater discipline, and made us more combat effective?

Absolutely not. It's WEAKENED our military extensively as we now have to cater to far too many individual preferences. The military is and was never designed to be all inclusive. It was intended to be a one standard fits all institution as it should be and needs to be. The second you begin changing standards for one, you must change standards for all. Pretty soon nobody knows the standard because there are too many standards. Then it becomes an issue of not being able to enforce a standard because nobody can possibly know them all...on top of that, leaders become gun shy about enforcing standards out of fear of being accused of some type of discrimination. The military wasn't designed for EVERYBODY so why have the standards changed to INCLUDE everybody?!? People need to stop being such whiny little children and start acting like adults. Life ain't fair. And war is hell.

I remember ask my self in the late 1990's. Why in the world do we have a "Battle Dress Uniform" specially designed for pregnant soldiers. Last time I checked if you were pregnant you weren't in a deploy able status. I keep seeing this kind of lack of "military intelligence".

Injured service members are also in a non-deployable status but they still wear their uniform, we have non-deployable billets yet they still wear a uniform. Last I checked their are plenty of assignments within every command that these individuals can serve in until they are able to return to full duty or medically separate.
