The old "ArmyStudyGuide.com" is out of date and the Army is taking a new approach on boards focusing primarily on situational questions. This makes studying quite difficult. After studying my brains out for the last month, I decided that I would like to help other soldiers study by coming up with situational questions from updated Army regulations as well as an all around resource for Army board preparation. Is this allowed?

Allowed? Yes

Difficult & time consuming? Yes

Rewarding that your study guide becomes the Army standard...priceless!

SGM, I figured I already put so much time and effort into thinking of every possible scenario while studying for the board, I might as well share my findings with others! And maybe it will become the new army standard!

The scenario based questions are in an effort to get away from the Soldier that can read and remember the Army study guide. It is not possible to think of every possible scenario that someone could ask. The current Army study guide is far from useless as it has a lot of good references in it. Sure some of them are outdated and could stand to be updated.

The study guide in question is proprietary, owned by a company that has demonstrated no desire to update it.

But with the Army going to ADP's, ADRP's and and ATP's wont the current Army study guide become irrelevant or have they already made a new one?

I can't find the last forum I said this is, but FYSA, the Army ADRP Board Study Guide app for Android is a great resource for studying the new ADPs and ADRPs. In my current and last unit, the MOI included a lot of ADPs and ADRPs that many Soldiers wouldn't really think to look into. I know I've never thought to read into ADRPs 2-0 (Intelligence) or ADRP 3-0 (Unified Land Operations). Also, Army Pubs can keep you up to date on new changes to existing publications. Has anyone read TC 3-21.5?

But to think about any standards which would change on a regular basis as soldiers do, we are living in a world where generation X, baby boomers and milineals dwell together. The baby boomer standards served us well even the new generation was easily adaptable to them, but now you have to think about what the future holds and the different scenarios that play out in upcoming yrs for the next couple generations
