Character building, how does one develop a positive aspect of character? Is this a learned process, are you taught it or are you just naturally born with it?

Character is something that is built over time by choosing the hard right over the easy wrong.

Character is determined by how your parents treated each other, because children learn from their parents. They learn good and bad manners, good and bad speech (foul language), and the ability to treat someone with dignity and respect, no matter the circumstance.
