Officers get degrees through certain Leadership Schools, lets use Army for example: ALC should provide an Associates, SLC should provide a Bachelors, and SGM Acedemy should provide a Masters, so we can be on par with our Officers, whats your thoughts

I think the Services should work for accreditation of their Leadership Schools so the courses would give the students college credit if they don't already. Leave the degree granting to civilian institutions.

Agreed, Sir. They should be accredited for State Colleges and Universities in all 50 States. If the private schools accept them all the better. Many years ago I received 20+ credits for basic and AIT at State schools in Tennessee. Not sure what they would award now. Seems NCO Development and particularly advanced Officer development would equate to Master level classes? Interesting topic, SSG (Join to see) ! Hooah!!

None of my training amounted to anything for my degree.

Sgt Gus Laskaris and SPC (Join to see) I agree that initial training in a military specialty probably shouldn't count for college credit. (Some long courses like nuclear engineering might qualify at least in part.) The original question asked about credit for NCO Professional Military Education. My experience is with Officer PME. If the Services design the NCO PME correctly, it should be at the undergraduate level and possibly at the graduate level for SNCO PME. I received graduate credit for Air Command and Staff College and Air War College from Webster University. Webster does cater to military members and is happy to take GI bill money, but I think other universities now give credit for intermediate and senior PME.

Community College of the Air Force for the win. Most AF formal training courses award credits as long as it is relevant to your degree path/AFSC. AF members receive credit for attendance at Airman Leadership School, Technical Training and get physical education credit for complete basic.

As long as those courses meet and maintain credentialing, with regular assessments of academic rigor, including thesis and oral comp requirements.

I believe the Air Force has been using this model for years.

Any Air Force vets feel free to correct me if I am incorrect.

We have done a good job getting many courses to provide credits for your degree, but not to the extent that we can.

Air Force PME generally awards college credits, but most are not applicable beyond an Associates through the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF). Even then, the Associates is directly based on the career field of the member obtaining it, and it varies as to what credits other institutions will actually allow you to use. The majority of the credits are Leadership/Management or Air Force/Military History, so they have no application other than the degree awarded through CCAF.
