Actors have the Oscars. Live theater gets the Tony Awards. Journalists receive Pulitzer Prizes and scientists can achieve Nobel Prizes.
Now Veterans can receive an award: The Lincoln!
The idea is to recognize exemplary service by and for veterans.
If you think a Veteran is deserving, let us all know by commenting on this post, then visiting their page.
Here are the categories: Standard Bearer, Veteran, Public Service, Medical & Science, Corporate Citizen, Caregiver, Entertainer, Artistic, Citizen, Non-Profit Citizen.

Jason, I think I have known you for about 15 years now. I think we served with some of the best Officers, NCO's, and young soldiers during our time together that I can remember in my 21 year career. That said, how do you nominate an entire Battalion?

CW3 Stephen Bacon, I don't think you can nominate a military unit - though I like your thinking on this subject. The Lincoln awards are for those that are supporting the military and veteran community...not the actual troops or their units. Perhaps RallyPoint Team could look into this?

Being a Member of CVMA, I do this sort of thing every day. Vets helping vets is not just a back patch!
