no, the written and driving exams should suffice, along with proof of legal residency of course. if i were to add anything i would add drivers education.

Limiting peoples ability to drive in a country without decent public transportation would have a bad effect on everyone.

NO, but qualified as to issuing Licenses to Repeat offenders of DUI/DWI. In so many states the judges do not enforce the law when it comes to multiple offenders of people who drive when legally drunk. I have seen drunks kill people and get away with a slap on the wrist. There has to be a point where we all say ENOUGH! Only one Judge who did so much of this has ever been voted out of office in this area. More need to understand and enforce the law.

if the drunks were using guns instead of automobiles you would see everyone screaming.

My company does an extensive background check at state level along with drug and alcohol testing regularly IAW company and DOT policies. We transport people and want to ensure their safety.
