In just a few weeks I will be leaving to head to SLC in FT. Lee, VA. I am curious is any Ordnance NCO's out there have any pointers or tips for me prior to me attending at the end of the month.

SLC is a very easy NCOES. Be prepared to give a briefing on something that your peers can truly learn from. Too many people just give a briefing on something already on their computer (that you will sign for) just to check the block. Go outside the norm and get your peers involved and it will help facilitate your class. Other than that, just make sure that you can research on a computer. I am here in Lee so if you need help with anything just let me know.

SLC was more about management not so much about cranking a wrench. Now I am not saying you do not need to know how to crank a wrench, but SLC is more about managing a Battalion size motor pool, working in SPO/S-3, and setting the tone to become a 1SG.
